E-currency converter service
« on: May 07, 2010, 11:17:27 AM »
Am in need of a reliable e-currency converter service. Most online payment platform restricts citizens of some countries from opening or having accounts with them. They even go as far as tracking IPs and once they notice the IP address from that country accessing the site, either they freeze the money in the account or limit the account. This happen to a friend of mine who used his paypal account in a country that is not listed with them. His account was limited and he could not withdraw funds even after mailing paypal to tell them he came visiting. His account was not opened until he got back. I was wondering if anyone could start up an e-currency converter site where different payment platforms can be converted. Like paypal to alertpay, alert pay to liberty reserves, paypal to liberty reserves. There was a site that once did this, but they went rogue. Here's a link to the site that went rogue www.minute-exchange.com.
With this it could make online payment more flexible. And also I wonder why most online marketers only use paypal. Forgetting the fact that having more than one payment processors encourages flexibility and increases more sales and customers.

Hi Infobox,

You pose some very interesting questions, about which I have little to no knowledge, so I'll wait for someone else to come along who can answer you.

I'll be interested to see what others have to say.

Good luck.

Karen

Ok Karen,
Going through the site I listed you'd see what they were offering. This is really an untapped venture.

Hi infobox

Re: e-currency convertors.

I've had a quick look around for you - what a minefield this subject is!

Most sites seem to be parked domains with links to various currency related sites and gold exchanges seem to be very popular.

But I finally found this person's blog ( http://centerexchange.com/ )

He seems to be a big fan of something called xchanger.org but his blog does make decent reading

Hope that sparks something off for you

Cheers

Val

Thanks val viewed the link. Am actually looking for an exchanger that also offers paypal. It's a huge niche where am currently residing and people would do anything to have a paypal account but they get stuck on how to withdraw their funds.
